Privacy policy

Effective 1 October 2026

Curling Clash: Tabletop is provided by Lucas Brendan Ward. This policy explains the information used by the game and this support website.

Information used for multiplayer

When you use online play, Firebase Authentication creates a guest identifier for your installation. No email, password or social sign-in is required, and the game does not ask for your name. Guest and connection identifiers, room membership, team, screen placement and dimensions, rink alignment, connection timing, readiness, throws, stone positions and match scores are sent to the game services to run and synchronize the shared rink. Other approved players in your room can see relevant game information, such as each phone's team and device number.

Security and technical information

The app uses Google's Firebase Authentication, Cloud Firestore, Realtime Database, Cloud Functions and App Check. These services process network and technical information, including IP addresses, app and operating-system information, authentication identifiers, and device attestation tokens or assertions. The backend also uses hashed network and guest identifiers to limit abuse. We use this information to authenticate devices, protect the service, diagnose problems and deliver multiplayer play. Firebase may collect SDK platform and version information for its service operations and improvement. See Firebase's privacy and security information.

Practice and local storage

Practice gameplay runs locally and does not require an internet connection. The app saves your language choice on your device. It does not save room information; a display name or room saved by an earlier version is deleted when the app is updated. A guest authentication identifier may remain on your device after you have used online play.

Advertising and tracking

The app contains no advertisements, advertising SDKs, cross-app tracking or data sales. It does not include Google Analytics or Crashlytics. We do not request access to your contacts, photos, microphone or precise location.

Retention and your choices

Game rooms have a two-hour lease. An automated cleanup runs approximately every 30 minutes to remove expired room and match data. Security records, service logs and guest authentication records may remain after a room expires; they are not all deleted by room cleanup. Local saved settings remain until cleared or the app's data is removed.

For access or deletion requests, email lucasbrendanward@gmail.com. Include the room code and approximate play time if available so we can locate relevant data. Because no email is attached to guest play, we may need additional information to verify which records belong to you. You can avoid sending multiplayer data by using offline Practice.

Support and website

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send and use them to respond. This website uses Firebase Hosting, which processes ordinary network request information to deliver and secure the pages. The website has no advertising or analytics scripts.

Children

The game does not ask for a player's name or age. A parent or guardian can contact us about a child's data using the address below.
